These logs are well on there way to being fully dried out but we are unable to guarantee that the average moisture content is below 25%. Ideally storing the logs beside your stove for the day before burning or adding the logs to a fire already up to temperature will help get the most out of them.
Our Metre bags, previously known as our XL bulk bags, measure 1m x 1m x 1m. These are our largest bags, offering a large quantity of logs and real value for money . This is exactly the same product as our best selling hardwood 1sts XL bulk bag just not yet seasoned. We would recommend storage in a well ventilated covered space, ideally off the ground, for the duration of the summer months to be ready to burn next winter. While timber left in the round can take years to dry once cut and split the drying process is dramatically sped up. Unseasoned logs stored correctly will dry to below 20% over one summer making this a great value product for the more organised customer. Our price includes delivery with no hidden charges.
The logs are all cut between 8-10 inches (20-25cm) in length making them perfect for stacking and aesthetically pleasing. We also now hold stock of smaller cut logs, between 6-7 inches, for those with smaller stoves please let us know on your order notes if this would be best for you. Unseasoned logs can also be processed to order to any specification.
If you don’t want to keep the bag we can tip the bag for you and give you a free bag of kindling. Alternatively keep a hold of the bag and we’ll give you a free bag of kindling with your next order. We can also stack your logs neatly in your log store for £15 a bag, please let us know in advance if you’d like to take advantage of this service so we can allow time between deliveries.
